As I’ve mentioned before, I love smoothies! They’re incredibly versatile — perfect for breakfast, a snack or a refreshing pick-me-up. This smoothie is smooth and delicious — reminiscent of summer with a slice of homemade blackberry pie or ice-cream. The added benefit is that blackberries are highly nutritious and an excellent source of fiber.
Blackberry-Honey Smoothie
*I prefer to use all organic ingredients
1 cup vanilla almond milk
1/3 cup ice
2/3 cup frozen blackberries
1/3 cup raw oats
2 Tablespoons raw honey
Combine all ingredients in a blender until well-incorporated and smooth.
Garnish with additional blackberries, if desired.
Note: If you prefer your smoothie to be seedless, pour beverage through a mesh strainer before serving.
Enjoy!
It looks absolutely delicious!

this is just what I need! So toss the oats in raw? yumm

Yes, I put the oats in raw — however, I’m sure you could soak them for a few minutes in the almond milk to soften them a little. 🙂

What a beautiful smoothie! I love that you DIDN’T use banana. I don’t care for them in my smoothies. I’ll be pinning this one!

Thank you so much, Julie! 🙂 You are so sweet, and your comment made me smile because I was hoping you’d enjoy the “non-banana” smoothie! I actually thought of you when I made it! 😉

Beautiful, Anna, and so many healthy ingredients. We have a freezer full of blackberries from our garden last year and was wondering what else I could use them for besides pies and jam. 🙂

I like the tip for seedless smoothies! I should really try this. I can only handle strawberry seeds, but I’d love to incorporate more berries into our smoothies! Thanks for the recipe, Anna! 🙂

Hope you get a chance to try it! 😉 Yes, my husband and daughters prefer seedless. I think it would be easier for little ones to swallow as well.
